4 creative striped wallpaper inspired by Scandinavian city pulse!

Written by Karolina Kroon, 02 February, 2017

As we worked on the RAND collection, the design team looked to Scandinavian aesthetics for inspiration. We added an urban beat to give a tempo to the collection, and looked closely at the Scandinavian capitals of Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen and Helsinki. The clean architecture, the wide horizons, the green oases and the cities’ closeness to water came together in four creative, striped designs which set the tone.

COPENHAGEN & ÖSTERBRO

Our interpretation of Copenhagen is attitude, edge and a Continental beat. This concept gave birth to our Österbro wallpaper. With its sharp, graphic contrasts and hint of marble, it gives a room a modern and changeable backdrop.

HELSINKI & KALLIO

The city of Helsinki, with its barren rocks and uninterrupted horizon inspired Kallio. A hand-drawn, minimalist stripe which gives the wall a clean, ascetic and stylish look.

OSLO & FJORDBYEN

Oslo, with its crisp blue shades, frozen sea and wide expanses inspired the gradient in our Fjordbyen wallpaper. A simple, delicate stripe which creates a peaceful, elegant frame for a classic aesthetic.

STOCKHOLM & DJURGÅRDEN

Stockholm, a green city of parks and deep, peaceful waterways, made us long for nature. This impression resulted in Djurgården, a rolling wallpaper which creates a harmonious yet cheeky look.
